This fundraiser will benefit internship grants for diverse college students/recent grads, books and materials for underfunded schools, and resources to help authors impacted by book bans.
Diversify the publishing industry. Our Internship Grant program has offered career guidance and financial support to over 150 diverse college students interested in a publishing a career. 70 percent of our grantees are now employed in the publishing industry.
Fighting book bans. As censorship and book challenges have spread nationwide, WNDB supports the affected creators, educators, and kids via our Books Save Lives initiative.
Sending books to kids in need. WNDB's In the Classroom program has provided more than 100,000 books to low-income and Title One schools in all 50 states.
